Women’s Breakfast Group @ 3 Guys Restaurant

 Women’s Breakfast Group meets on alternate Tuesdays at 8 am at 3 Guys Restaurant (Madison Avenue between 88th and 89th Streets) for breakfast and discussion usually centered around a book that members of the group are reading. Shrove Tuesday and Celebration of Generosity @ Church of the Heavenly Rest

Join us on Shrove Tuesday, February 13 from 6:30pm-9pm in the Church as we celebrate the final night before Lent and the generosity of our community. Our 2018 annual campaign has been a tremendous success and we want to thank you! There will be live music from the Blue Vipers of Brooklyn (jazz, swing, blues) and dancing beneath the market lights as well as pancakes, bacon, and heavy hors d’oeuvres. There will be crafts, activities, and food for kids.

Journaling, Small Group @ Chapel

Writing is a powerful form of contemplative prayer. The Journaling group meets once a week, Thursday mornings at 10am in the Chapel, to write and reflect together. Join the Rev. Dr. Andrew McGowan, Dean of Berkeley Divinity School at Yale, for a one-day Lenten retreat focusing on making bread on Saturday, February 17 from 9:30am-4pm at House of the Redeemer. Dean McGowan is a scholar of Early Christian history and has a deep and abiding interest in bread – its history and its biblical and theological traditions. Need a Prayer

PSALM 51
Open my lips, O Lord,
and my mouth shall proclaim your praise.

Create in me a clean heart, O God,
and renew a right spirit within me.

Cast me not away from your presence
and take not your holy Spirit from me.

Give me the joy of your saving help again
and sustain me with your bountiful Spirit.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit:
