Welcome to the Church of the Heavenly Rest,

and our 2025 - 2026 Program Year!

We believe this church is The Place to BE in our great city, at a time of distraction and anxiety, when so many of us seek authenticity, community and transcendence.

BEGIN your journey of faith and your walk with Jesus. We offer baptism to people of all ages, with programs of introduction and orientation to Christianity, the Episcopal Church, and this particular parish. BELONG to an intergenerational community of humble, joyful, faithful people who desire deeper relationship with God, one another, and our city. BECOMING a member is a simple yet significant process and your clergy will help you understand what’s required to say “I’m in”! BEHOLD the beauty of holiness in worship, music, art, nature, and one another. BE LOVED as a cherished child of God and valued member of God’s communion. BELIEVE in the mystery of God: present, transcendent, loving, reconciling, transforming, and healing.

Wherever you are on your walk of faith, you are somewhere. And Heavenly Rest is the place to BECOME who God already knows you to BE.

Check out our Fall Newsletter here! It’s filled with information about new programming, community outreach, music, children and family ministry.

Heavenly Rest Soprano section leader Sylvia Maisonet will sing a program of art songs by Francis Poulenc, Lori Laitman, Fernando Obradors, and Ricky Ian Gordon.
